An office chair is integral to a workroom. But many people notice them only when they are broken or feel uncomfortable. However, these chairs influence your productivity directly. So it’s important to find only the best ones for yourself. Today you can find a lot of variety in these seating units at the market. From ergonomic to drafting and executive chairs, there’s one that’s suited to the needs of every occupation. Modern executive office chairs feature a synchronized backrest and seat, allowing the user to adjust it for a specific task easily. Here are some typical chairs that are most used in an office setting.

    Ergonomic Chair

Ergonomic chairs provide enough support to the person who sits for an extended period. They are made to encourage a neutral posture. Such chairs are optimized to prevent various disorders, like back pain, cervical spondylosis, blood circulation, and poor posture. Ergonomic office chairs have features like adjustable lumbar support, armrests, and adjustable seat side. The lumbar support prevents the occurrence of any back pain issues. If you often feel shoulder, back, and neck pain while sitting for a prolonged time, investing in such chairs is wise.

    Drafting Chairs

These are apt for architects and artists who require standing while they work. Drafting chairs are built to go with drafting tables and allow those standing and working to rest without disturbing their workflow. They have heights that make it easy for the person to transition from resting to standing. The chair is light, portable, and adjustable.

    Leather Office Chair

These chairs look pretty sophisticated and are way more expensive than other categories of chairs. They can be covered in various types of leather like polyurethane leather (faux leather), bonded leather, and genuine leather. Leather chairs demand proper upkeep and maintenance. You should keep them away from direct sunlight. Otherwise, they start to look worn-out and old.

    Mesh Office Chair

These chairs are apt for those who tend to sweat a lot while working. It has a backrest lined with a net-like fabric. The backrest is paired with cushioned seats to impart maximum comfort. Mesh office chairs made of due importance to ergonomics have a waterfall edge. It enhances blood circulation and provides good lumbar support, which reduces pain in the lower back region.

    Big and Tall Chair

Like its name, a big and tall office chair is for big and tall people in a workplace. They can carry a weight range starting from 300 pounds to 1000 pounds. This chair can easily and securely manage heavy loads.

A big and tall seating unit has wider and higher backrests, thicker padding, higher seat height adjustments, reinforced bases, frames, and armrests. It also has a deep and broad seat. So, it can securely handle the weight of heavy people.

    24- Hour Chair

These chairs also go by the name of intensive-use chairs. These chairs are distinct from other workplace chairs. They undergo stringent testing and must pass specific limits before being labelled as intensive-use chairs. The tests are executed for its backload, seat and baseload, back tilt, and swivel bearing fatigue. As a result, 24-hour chairs are considerably more durable than their counterparts. It also has basic ergonomic features like headrests, armrests, lumbar support, and adjustable height.

There’s a massive variety of chairs for office purposes today. If you plan to purchase one, it’s essential to ensure that your seating unit is ergonomic. It will help you stay engaged in work for long hours without experiencing any discomfort.
