While this huawei 4 band tracker’s functionality is fairly similar to the Honor Band 5, it is noticeably more basic for some reason. We have the standard set of features: date, time, distance, steps, weather, calories, sleep tracking, heart rate monitoring, stopwatch, timer, phone search, alarm clock, and so on. We also have a few extras like a phone search function. However, there is no pulse oximeter (which measures the amount of oxygen in the blood) as there is in the Honor tracker.
The Utilities
Running (on the street and on the treadmill), walking (on the street and in the room), exercise bike, elliptical, rowing machine, and free training are the only available training modalities. What exactly is lacking? Swimming in the pool is a good idea. However, there is a mode of riding on the street that is accessible only in the EMUI shell from version 5.0 and above, or in OS 9.0 and higher, for some reason that is currently unclear.
On EMUI 8.1, there is a camera shutter control, however there is no way to choose between audio tracks. This is also odd, but whether or not these functions will be included in future versions is still up in the air.
Design, materials, element arrangement, and ergonomics are all important considerations
Despite being even more compact in design than the Honor Band 5, it is a bit “more complex” than the Honor Band 5. In addition to having a flat form, it features 2.5D rounding at the edges and an oleophobic coating on the glass in front of the screen. It is encased in a thin plastic frame that is dark grey in colour, which also contains the screen and the glass. There is a tiny oblong button at the bottom of the screen that looks like a navigation button from the EMUI.
- The module’s dimensions are 56 x 18.5 x 12.5 mm throughout its full length when it is not attached to a strap. However, the viewable region is much smaller about 46 mm in length. Band 4 weights 24 grammes when it is worn with a strap. And, say what you want about it, but this tracker is almost similar to the previous one, with the exception of the Honor brand. In reality, there isn’t much of a difference; it’s only that it’s more comfortable and you can wear it all day.
- The front panel is comprised of a screen and a touch button, both of which we previously discussed. While the ends of the sides are entirely devoid of anything, the top is equipped with a strap mount and the bottom with extra connections. Yes, they are required for billing purposes. Service marks and a window with sensors are located on the rear of the vehicle, which virtually does not extend above the surface.

It goes without saying that the bracelet is moisture resistant and has a water resistance rating of up to 50 metres.
