Do you want to make sure nothing stands in the way of your upcoming summer adventure?

If so, this article is for you!

Safety should always be your number one priority on any adventure. One of the first tips someone will give you is to pack a good quality first aid kit. Since 3471 people got into emergencies in the Swiss Alps in 2020.

There are plenty of different first aid kits available. From dollar store kits to professional packs, there is one to suit everyone.

But even if you’re on a budget, there are some first aid essentials you need to add to your kit.

    Antiseptic Wipes

Antiseptic wipes aren’t the first thing that comes to mind when thinking about a first aid kit. But they can be one of the most valuable items in your pack when the time comes.

There is a good chance you might fall or trip at least once on your adventure. When that happens, you can cut and deeply graze your skin.

Before you even think about adding a bandage, you need you clean the skin with antiseptic wipes. Otherwise, your wound will become painfully infected.

You can find them at this link.

    Bug Bite Ointment

Bug bites can quickly turn your dream adventure into a regrettable nightmare. But the good news for you is that you can easily prevent bites from ruining your trip.

Bug bite ointment helps reduce the swelling and itchiness. It stops you from scratching the bite. Which causes severe discomfort, blisters, or infection.

    Ibuprofen Painkillers

Whether you sprain your hand or you need to relieve a pulsating headache, Ibuprofen will help you out.

Pain and niggles will sap the fun and energy out of your adventure. But you can kill them off whenever you like by carrying Ibuprofen in your first aid kit.

Ibuprofen is a painkiller that you can buy over the counter in the US. These are highly recommended for everyone’s kit. But if you already know painkillers that work for you, that would work perfectly instead.

    Blister Pads

If you’re going on an adventure, you’re likely to walk a lot. And if you are struggling to walk, it will be a long and exhausting journey.

The more you walk, the more chance you will get a blister. If you pick up one of these unwanted travelers, make sure they don’t slow you down.

You can do this by adding a blister pad to your heel or foot. It provides cushioning and protection, which will relieve the pain.

Add the First Aid Kit Essentials

A summer adventure can be the time of your life. But if you don’t bring the first aid kit essentials, that idea could be flipped on its head.

Now you know the essentials, so it’s time to start packing and planning your adventure!
