These are just some of the visible benefits of online consulting.

Thanks to the ease of scheduling and the ability to conduct your sessions from home, people who seek counseling and do not benefit from it for various reasons can also benefit from this.

Is Online Consulting Right For You?

Online consulting is nothing new. Online consultancy e-therapy, online therapy, virtual therapy and internet consulting. It has been almost 10 years since I started providing online consultancy services. Currently, many psychotherapists provide online counseling or use technology to at least keep strong relationships with their existing clients.

Wouldn’t it be great to get counseling without timing challenges or commuting difficulties?

According to many, online consulting is easier and more effective and much more affordable. The idea of   being able to access from home or from almost anywhere is very attractive.

How does online consulting work? Email, chat, and webcam are among the most used methods. Some therapists provide consultancy services from platforms such as “second life”.

But often, online counseling is based on text that is not able to see or hear. For some, e-mail therapy is similar to correspondence. Compared to traditional psychotherapy methods, chat therapy appears to be a traditional type of therapy and the process is a little faster. Webcams offer us clearer images with technological advances. These tools also incorporate sound and vision into the therapy process. All these connection methods can be used alone or in conjunction with each other.

If you are interested in online counseling, be sure to choose a therapist who understands the importance of privacy and offers an alternative to traditional chat and email. Ideally, your communication should be secure and encrypted, and you should make sure that there are a variety of free encryption options that are user-friendly. Many therapists Having tried online therapy, many therapists have additional training that ideally points to a certain level of competence. Usually, therapists who receive additional training will show them on their website.

Valid documents and identification of a therapist are other important things to consider.

Organizations that support professionalism in the field of online consulting; They are organizations such as ISMHO (International Society of Mental Health Online) and ADCA (American Distance Counseling Association).
