    How to Choose your First Weapon

    There are roughly four groups of weapons that can be used for defense: Revolvers, Pistols, Rifles and Shotguns.

    Each of these groups has its own characteristics, advantages and disadvantages. Let’s quickly go through each of them.

    (a) Revolver: A large, repetitive firearm with a rotating cylinder positioned behind the barrel, which serves as a magazine, which contains parallel and equidistant perforations of its axis and which receive the ammunition as a chamber;

    Revolvers are fantastic weapons because they require relatively little training to use. They have fewer mechanical failures than other types of weapons and are easier to clean and perform basic maintenance. For registration, one can have this weapon of caliber .38SPL, which is generally a good caliber for defense.

    In addition, it is a bearing weapon. For those who want to bring their weapon with them all day long, you can choose a more compact version, called snubs.

    (b) Pistol means a large semi-automatic firearm whose single chamber is part of the barrel body and whose magazine, when in a fixed position, holds the cartridges in a row and presents them sequentially for initial loading. There are repeating guns that do not have a magazine and are manually fired, shot by shot, by the shooter;

    Pistols require slightly more operator training compared to handguns. In return, they offer higher capacity, with loaders up to 20 shots.

    They are suitable for people who know how to solve basic faults and disassemble them at the first level. Maintenance must be constant.

    Like the revolver, they are guns, and the compact or subcompact versions can easily be veiled.

    (c) Carbine: A small, small-barreled, but relatively smaller rifle-like portable firearm;

    This is one of those absurd cases for the possibility of acquiring streaked long arms for defensive use. However, make the practical application of this device unfeasible when limiting permitted use carbines to 44.40 caliber and still restricting .30 carbine and .40SW gauges to police and military personnel only. The mag speed loaders are essential accessories for these weapons. What is left?

    There are some old model weapons, such as lever action and others of unsuitable caliber as the 7022 (caliber .22).

    The most interesting carbines would be exactly those restricted by law, but that’s what we have in place.

    In addition, carbines are portable weapons and not small arms, so they must be within the holder’s residence or establishment, serving only in these locations.
